Titles are the most pretentious and tiresome form of writing and should be abolished.

On Spinoza, is it right that his relationship with god was such that “contemplating god” might well include science and art?

I would say yes, as increasing our knowledge of the world (science) is also increasing our knowledge of one of God's attributes, substance. For art I'm less certain and my impression is that Spinoza had less to say about art, on the whole. As a young man, he was part of a group called Nil Volentibus Arduum that mainly discussed ideas, I think, but also poetry in addition to staging plays, though I'm not sure how that biographical detail really fits in here.
